How to serve: With Garnashing
Ingredients:
1 cup Green Moong Daal
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Oil
1 tsp Clarified Butter
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1" Ginger, very finely chopped
3 Green Chillies slit in the middle
2 Onions, finely sliced
Salt to taste
Fresh Coriander, finely chopped, to garnish
Preparation:
Wash and soak daal for 30 min. and pressure cook with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder till it is soft. Heat oil and ghee in a heavy pan and splutter cumin seeds, then put ginger, green chillies and onion. When the onion is soft and cooked, put the daal and adjust salt. Add a cup or two of water so that the consistency is not too thin nor too thick. Chop fresh coriander leaves and add before serving.
