Ingredients:

Green mangoes 1 cup cut into small dices
Split red gram 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tea sp
Salt use as required
Ginger 1 ea tsp chopped
Cumin powder 1 tea sp
Green chillies 2 nos
Red chillies 2 nos
Ghee 2 table sp
Sugar 1 tea sp
Mustard seeds 1 tea sp
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Garam Masala powder 1 tea sp

Preparation:

Wash and cook the daal with the turmeric powder, salt and the sugar in a saut use .
Add the mango to the dal.
Add a part of the ginger to the dal along with the cumin powder and the garam masala powder. Mix well.
When the dal and the mango is cooked remove from fire.
Heat the ghee in a pan , add the mustard seeds, when they crackle, add the remaining ginger, curry leaves, slit green chillies and the broken red chillies.
Fry for 2 minutes over a low flame and pour over the dal. Serve hot.
