This delicious Prawn curry tastes great with plain steamed or boiled rice.

Ingredients:

Prawns 1 lb
Curry leaves few
Red chillies dried 6 big long ones
Haldi 1/2 tsp
1 Onion medium chopped
Zeera powder 1 tsp
Ginger / Garlic 2 tsp levelled
Dhania Powder 1 tsp
Oil 1/4 cup
Chilli powder 2 tsp levelled
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
1 cup coconut milk

Preparation:

Soak chillies in hot water for 5 minutes & put in blender with onion and ginger/ garlic.
Heat oil and fry curry leaves for a minute.
Add blended mixture and fry stiring constantly for 5 minutes until oil seperates.
Add ground spices & fry for 1 minute then add prawns & fry, stiring until they change colour.
Now add salt & coconut milk & simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add lemon juice to taste.
